Installation (Delco 3400)

  1. Lubricate the front brake caliper, bushings, bolts and seals with Delco Silicone Lube GM P/N 18010909 or the equivalent.
  2. Install the front inboard brake pad, with the following procedure:
    • Snap the retainer ring into the front brake caliper piston.
    • The front brake pad retainer spring is already staked to the brake pad.
    • The front brake pad must lay flat against the front brake caliper piston.
  3. Install the front outboard brake pad with the wear indicator at the leading edge of the front brake pad during forward wheel rotation. The back of the front brake pad must lay flat against the front brake caliper.
  4. Install the front brake caliper onto the front brake rotor and check for firm pedal. See BRAKE CALIPER  .
  5. Remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle.
