Pin Up Procedure

- Before any components of the parking brake system are serviced, the following procedure must be followed. Two technicians are required to perform this procedure: one inside the vehicle and one outside the vehicle.
- Remove the left kick panel. Raise and support the vehicle.
- Hold the pedal in the FULL upward position.
- Pull rearward on the front park brake cable until the pedal drum reaches its full reset position. See Fig 1 .
- Insert a scribe or nail through the pedal into the adjuster drum to hold the adjuster to its full reset position. See Fig 1 .
- Slowly release the cable. Remove the component that requires service.
