Supercharger Cleaning and Inspection

- Clean the lower intake manifold to supercharger mating surfaces.
- Clean the supercharger.
- A small amount of oil weepage from the front oil seal is normal.
- Dripping or puddling is not normal and the supercharger should be replaced.
- Inspect the supercharger for damage.
- Remove the supercharger oil plug (1).
- Inspect the supercharger oil level.
- The oil level should reach the bottom of the threads in the inspection hole.
- The superchargers oiling system holds 8 oz. of GM P/N United States 12345982, GM P/N Canada 10953513 synthetic oil.
- Install the supercharger oil plug (1).
Tighten:
Tighten the supercharger oil plug to 10 N.m (89 lb in)
- Clean the throttle body mating surface.
- Inspect the supercharger pulley for damage.
