Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection

  1. Remove the oil level sensor bolt.
  2. Remove the oil level sensor.
  3. Clean the oil pan in solvent. Remove all sludge and debris from the bottom of the oil pan.
  4. Inspect the oil pan sealing surfaces for damage. Replace the oil pan if necessary.
  5. Install the oil level sensor.
  6. Install the oil level sensor bolt.

    Tighten: 

    Tighten the oil level sensor bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in)
