Removal Procedure

Partially drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to the appropriate procedure:
- For 6.5L, refer to AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.

If equipped with 4.3L, remove the radiator inlet hose from the water outlet.

If equipped with 5.0L or 5.7L, remove the radiator inlet hose from the water outlet.

If equipped with 6.5L, remove the radiator inlet hose from the water outlet.

If equipped with 8.1L, remove the radiator inlet hose from the water outlet.
