Water Pump (Unit Repair) Removal: Removal

  1. Remove engine coolant temperature sensor.

  2. Remove thermostat and water feed pipe retaining bolts.

    IMPORTANT:  Twist the water feed pipe while pulling to remove it from the water pump.

  3. Remove thermostat housing and water feed pipe from water pump.

    IMPORTANT:  Be sure to remove the bolt that goes through the front of the engine block.

  4. Remove water pump retaining bolts.
  5. Remove water pump assembly.
