Exhaust Manifold (Unit Repair) Removal: Removal

  1. Remove exhaust manifold heat shield.
  2. Remove heated oxygen sensor.
  3. Remove exhaust manifold to the cylinder head retaining nuts.
  4. Remove exhaust manifold.
  5. Clean all sealing surfaces.
  6. If exhaust manifold is being replaced, transfer the following parts:
    • Exhaust manifold heat shield
    • Heated oxygen sensor
  7. Replace exhaust manifold nuts.
