Engine Drive Belt And TENSIONER Replacement: Removal

CAUTION: THE TENSIONER ASSEMBLY IS NOT SERVICEABLE. TO AVOID INJURY, DO NOT DISASSEMBLE TENSIONER.
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Raise vehicle on hoist.
  3. Remove right wheel and splash shield.
  4. Install Accessory Belt Tensioner Unloader J44811 onto tensioner.
  5. Remove accessory drive belt.

    IMPORTANT:  To remove tensioner bolt, an access hole has been provided through the inner and outer engine rail.

  6. Remove tensioner bolt.

  7. Remove tensioner assembly.
