Removal & Installation

  1. If replacing instrument cluster, perform configuration procedure. See IMMOBILIZER RESETTING PROCEDURE  . Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Remove left front door scuff plate and left front side trim panel. Pull out hood release lever and, using screwdriver, release retaining tab and remove hood release lever from lower panel. Remove screw and pull lower panel outward to release clips. Disconnect light control switch and headlight leveling switch connectors, and remove lower panel.
  3. Detach meter hood rubber from upper column cover. Pull meter hood outward, detach tabs and locator pins and remove meter hood. Remove screws and pull instrument cluster outward. See Figure . Disconnect electrical connectors and carefully remove instrument cluster.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure. If instrument cluster has been replaced, perform immobilizer resetting procedure. See IMMOBILIZER RESETTING PROCEDURE  .
