Draining The Cooling System

CAUTION: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN COOLANT CAP WHILE COOLING SYSTEM IS UNDER PRESSURE.
  1. Remove coolant cap from surge tank.

    IMPORTANT:  A-7.6 liter (8 qt.) coolant container will be needed.

  2. Place coolant container under radiator drain valve located at the bottom of the right radiator end tank.
  3. Using a flat bladed screwdriver, open drain valve and drain coolant.

  4. If engine block needs to be drained, a drain valve is located at the bottom of the water pump assembly.
