Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the lower control arm to the crossmember.
  2. Install the bolts (5) and the nuts (4) to the lower control arm. See Figure. Tighten the nuts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
  3. Install the cam bolt (1) and the cam washer (2) to the lower control arm.
    4. NOTE: Align the cam indicator to the mark on the lower control arm.
  4. Install the cam nut (3) to the lower control arm. Tighten the cam nut to 125 N.m (92 lb ft).
  5. Install the coil spring. Refer to COIL SPRING REPLACEMENT (ALL WHEEL DRIVE) .
