Ride Diagnosis

  1. Did you review the system descriptions and perform the necessary inspections? If so, go to next step. If not, see SYMPTOMS - SUSPENSION GENERAL DIAGNOSIS .
    NOTE: Compare this vehicle to an identical vehicle in order to determine if the customer's concern is a normal characteristic of the vehicle.
  2. Verify the ride is too soft or too hard. Does the vehicle ride normally? If so, system is OK. If not, go to next step.
  3. Inspect the vehicle trim height. Replace components if necessary. Refer to TRIM HEIGHT INSPECTION PROCEDURE . Did you find and correct the condition?
  4. Inspect the suspension components for wear or damage. Replace components if necessary. Refer to STRUTS OR SHOCK ABSORBERS ON-VEHICLE TESTING . Did you find and correct the condition? If so, go to next step. If not, system is OK.
  5. Drive the vehicle in order to verify the repair. Did you correct the condition? If so, system is OK. If not, go back to step  3.
