Shock Absorber Replacement - AWD: Removal

- Remove the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Figure.
- Remove the rear accessory panel. Refer to Figure.
- Remove the rear storage compartment. Refer to Figure.
- Remove the tool storage compartment. Refer to Figure.
- Remove the shock absorber fastener access panel (1). Refer to Figure.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Use a block of wood and a jack in order to support the lower control arm.
- Remove the nut and the stabilizer shaft link stud from the lower control arm.
- Remove the nut (4) and the bolt (5). Refer to Figure.
- Remove the 3 nuts (2,3,6). Refer to Figure.
- Remove the 3 bolts (1,3,4). Refer to Figure.
- Remove the 3 bolts (1,3,4). Refer to Figure.
- Remove the shock absorber with the coil spring.
- Remove the coil spring, if necessary. Refer to COIL SPRING REPLACEMENT - FWD or COIL SPRING REPLACEMENT - AWD .
