Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in TIRES AND WHEELS article.
  3. Disconnect the outer tie rod end from the suspension knuckle. Refer to TIE ROD REPLACEMENT (OUTER END) .
  4. Remove the nut (1) retaining the rear suspension adjustment link to the crossmember. See Fig 1.
  5. Remove the rear suspension adjustment link (2) from the vehicle.
