Removal (3.8L)

  1. Disconnect the negative battery negative cable. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the front lower air deflector. Remove the torque converter covers.
  2. Remove the starter solenoid BAT terminal nut and remove the positive battery cable from the starter motor. See Fig 1. Remove the starter solenoid S terminal nut and remove the starter solenoid wire from the starter motor.
  3. Remove the starter bolts and remove the starter motor.
