Removal & Installation: Starter: Installation

  1. Install the starter motor to the vehicle. Install the upper mounting bolt finger tight. Install the lower mounting bolt. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Tighten upper mounting bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install the starter motor electrical connector to the solenoid.
  3. Install the positive battery cable and the retaining nut to the starter solenoid. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
