Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) Switch: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the CPP switch lock nut to the CPP switch. Install the CPP switch into the clutch and the brake pedal bracket by turning the CPP switch clockwise.
  2. Use a DVOM in order to adjust the clutch pedal position CPP switch. Depress the clutch pedal to the floor. Return the clutch pedal within 15-30 mm (0.6-1.2 in) from the floor.
  3. Connect the probes of DVOM with both leads of the CPP switch electrical connector. Adjust the CPP switch by threading the switch into the clutch and the brake pedal bracket until continuity is achieved.
  4. Tighten the CPP switch lock nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect the electrical connector to the CPP switch. Connect the negative battery cable.
