Removal & Installation: Starter: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Raise the vehicle. Remove the lower closeout panel.
  2. Remove the electrical leads from starter. See Fig 1. Remove flywheel inspection shield.
  3. Remove the starter motor-to-engine bolts, then lower the starter. Remove the starter. See Figure.
