Intermediate Shaft Removal Note

- Disconnect the right side axle shaft from the intermediate shaft by tapping the transaxle side outer ring with a brass bar and hammer. See Figure .
- Disconnect the intermediate shaft bracket from cylinder block and remove the intermediate shaft.CAUTION: The sharp edges of the intermediate shaft can slice or puncture the oil seal. Be careful when removing the intermediate shaft from the transaxle.
- Install the Differential Side Gear Holder (49-G030-455) into the transaxle after the intermediate shaft is removed. See Figure .
