Boot Band (Wheel Side Smaller Diameter) Assembly Note

- Adjust clearance (A) by turning the adjusting bolt of the Boot Clamp Crimper (49-T025-001). The correct clearance of (A) is 0.063" (1.6 mm).
- Crimp the wheel side small boot band completely closed so there is no gap using the boot clamp crimper.
- Verify that the boot band does not protrude from the boot band installation area. If it does, replace the boot band and repeat step 2 .
- Fill the boot with the repair kit grease.
- Adjust opening width (A) of the boot clamp crimper. The correct clearance of (A) is 0.079" (2.0 mm).
- Crimp the wheel side small boot band completely closed so there is no gap using the boot clamp crimper.
- Verify that the boot band does not protrude from the boot band installation area. If it does, replace the boot band and repeat step 6 .
