Differential Side Joint Assemblies

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Mazda 3. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

There are two types of joint assemblies for the axle shaft. For models with automatic transaxles both the right and left differential side are Tripod joints. For models with manual transaxles the left side differential is a Tripod joint, the right side is a Double Offset joint.
