Wheel Cylinders: Removal

- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove the brake drum. See REAR BRAKE DRUM . Remove the brake shoes. See REAR BRAKE SHOES .
- Clean the dirt and foreign material around the wheel cylinder. Remove the bleeder valve.
- Disconnect the brake pipe fitting from the wheel cylinder. Plug the open brake pipe ends. Remove the wheel cylinder mounting bolts. Remove the wheel cylinder. See Figure .
