Removal (Right Rear)

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Disconnect the right rear park brake cable from the cable connector.
  2. Disconnect the right rear park brake cable from the bracket using the Parking Brake Cable Release Tool (J-37043).
  3. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Remove the brake drum. See REAR BRAKE DRUM  . Remove the Brake shoes. See REAR BRAKE SHOES  .
  4. Disconnect the cable from the parking brake lever. Remove the cable from the backing plate using the cable release tool. See Figure .
