Diagnostic Aids

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2002 GMC Envoy XL, 2002 GMC Envoy, and 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

An in-line connector could cause an intermittent DTC. Ensure to test for poor connections and pin retention at all in-line connectors. If the condition is not present, see INTERMITTENT OR POOR CONNECTIONS  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Disconnect the harness connector of the cooling fan clutch from the shroud. Inspect the exposed wires between the harness connector and the tubing.
