Diagnostic Procedure

- If engine electrical diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If engine electrical diagnostic system check was not performed, go to ENGINE ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under ON-VEHICLE TESTING.
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. With a scan tool, monitor the DTC Information for DTC B1328 in the affected module. If scan tool indicates DTC B1328 is current, go to step 4 . If not, go to next step.
- With a scan tool, monitor the DTC Information for DTC B1328 in the affected module. If scan tool indicates DTC B1328 is current, go to next step. If not, go to DIAGNOSTIC AIDS .
- Replace the affected module. After replacement, reprogram module. See BODY CONTROL MODULES article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. After repair are made, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Start engine. If DTC B1328 does not reset, system is okay. If DTC B1328 resets, go to step 2 .
