Stoplight Switch Adjustment

- With the brake pedal in the fully released position, ensure that the stoplight plunger is fully depressed against the brake pedal shanks.
- Fully insert the stoplight switch and the cruise control switch, if equipped, into the brake pedal bracket.
- Push the brake pedal forward in order to set the brake push rod into the booster.NOTE: Proper stoplight switch adjustment is essential. Improper stoplight switch adjustment may cause brake drag, heat buildup and excessive brake lining wear.
- Pull the brake pedal to the rear, against the internal stop. This adjusts both the stoplight switch and the cruise control switch.
- Inspect the stoplight switch for proper adjustment.
