Axle Shafts Boot Cover: Removal

Use side cutters to cut the axle shaft seal cover clamps and the nylon strap. See Fig 1 .
Slide the axle shaft seal cover off of the axle shaft, over the CV joint end. Check the axle shaft seal cover for rips, tears, worn spots or other damage. Reuse the axle shaft seal cover if there is no damage visible.
