Park Brake Cable (Front): Removal

  1. Remove the left side instrument panel insulator. Remove the left side carpet retainers. Remove the lower center pillar trim panel on the left side.
  2. Fold back the carpeting in order to gain access to the parking brake cable.
  3. Remove the parking brake cable from the cable guides. Raise support the vehicle.
  4. Remove the brake cable at the equalizer.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Remove the cable button end (1) from the parking brake lever clevis. See Figure .
  7. Remove the front cable from the vehicle.
