Master Cylinder: Installation

  1. Bench bleed the master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER BENCH BLEEDING  under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM. Install the master cylinder to the vacuum brake booster.
  2. Install the master cylinder mounting nuts. Tighten to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Remove the plugs from the brake pipe. Connect the brake pipes to the master cylinder. Tighten to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Connect the electrical connector to the brake fluid level sensor. Bleed the brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
