Brake Rotor (Front): Removal

- Raise support the vehicle.
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove and support the caliper and bracket as an assembly with heavy mechanics wire. DO NOT disconnect the hydraulic flexible brake hose. See CALIPER BRACKET (FRONT) .
- Remove the brake rotor.
- If the brake rotor is to be reinstalled to the vehicle, use the Rotor/Drum Flange Resurfacing Kit (J-41013) in order to clean any rust or corrosion from the hub/flange mating surface of the brake rotor.
- Use the Wheel Hub/Flange Resurfacing Kit (J-42450-A) in order to clean the wheel hub flange.
