Brake Pedal Assembly: Removal

  1. Remove the left instrument panel insulator.
  2. Remove the Body Control Module (BCM) from the bracket and position aside.
  3. Remove the stoplight switch. See STOPLIGHT SWITCH  .
  4. Remove the cruise control release switch, if equipped.
  5. Remove the wiring harness clips from the bracket.
  6. Remove the brake pedal pushrod retaining clip from the brake pedal. See Fig 1 .
  7. Remove the brake pedal pushrod and washer from the brake pedal.
  8. Remove the brake pedal nut and bolt. See Fig 2 . Remove the brake pedal and bushings.
