Brake Drum: Removal

  1. Raise support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the rear wheel and tire assembly.
  3. Remove the brake drum.
  4. If the brake drum is to be reinstalled to the vehicle, use the Rotor/Drum Flange Resurfacing Kit (J-41013) in order to clean any rust or corrosion from the hub/flange mating surface of the brake drum.
  5. Use the Wheel Hub/Flange Resurfacing Kit (J-42450-A) in order to clean the wheel hub flange.
