Vacuum Brake Booster: Removal

- Apply the park brake and block the wheels.
- Remove the brake master cylinder. MASTER CYLINDER .
- Remove the vacuum hose from the brake booster check valve. See Figure.
- Remove the pushrod retaining clip from the brake pedal stud. See Figure.
- Remove the stoplight switch and the pushrod from the brake pedal stud.
- Remove the 4 vacuum booster mounting nuts. See Fig 1.
- Remove the vacuum booster.
- Remove the gasket from the booster and discard.
