Vacuum Brake Booster Check Valve And/Or Hose: Removal

  1. Remove the vacuum brake booster check valve from the vacuum brake booster.
  2. Remove the vacuum brake booster hose clamp at the check valve.
  3. Remove the vacuum brake booster check valve from the hose.
  4. Remove the manifold sight shield (4.8L, 5.3L or 6.0L).
  5. Disconnect the vacuum brake booster hose at the engine (4.8L, 5.3L or 6.0L). See Fig 1.
  6. Disconnect the vacuum brake booster hose at the engine (4.3L). See Fig 2.
  7. Remove the vacuum brake booster hose from the vehicle.
