Vacuum Brake Booster Check Valve And/Or Hose: Removal

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 12 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 GMC Sierra, 2003 GMC Cab & Chassis Sierra, and 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Remove the vacuum brake booster check valve from the vacuum brake booster.
Remove the vacuum brake booster hose clamp at the check valve.
Remove the vacuum brake booster check valve from the hose.
Remove the manifold sight shield (4.8L, 5.3L or 6.0L).
Disconnect the vacuum brake booster hose at the engine (4.8L, 5.3L or 6.0L). See Fig 1.
Disconnect the vacuum brake booster hose at the engine (4.3L). See Fig 2.
Remove the vacuum brake booster hose from the vehicle.
