Installation (Left Rear - Without 4-Wheel Steering)

- Install the cable taking care to correctly route the cable through the guides and the body mounts. See Figure.
- On 1500 series utilities, install the cable to the backing plate by pressing the cable into place until locking tabs snap into place.
- Install the cable to the lever.
- Install the cable taking care to correctly route the cable through the guides and the body mounts. See Figure.
- On all models except 1500 series utilities, install the cable to the backing plate by pressing the cable into place until locking tabs snap into place.
- Install the cable to the lever.
- Install the cable at the shock absorber bracket and install the bolt. See Figure. Tighten the bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the cable to the mounting bracket until the locking tabs snap into place. See Figure.
- On all vehicles, connect cable end to the equalizer.
- Tighten the nut to the intermediate cable at the equalizer. See Figure. Tighten the nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Remove the safety stands.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Adjust the park brake cable. See PARK BRAKE ADJUSTMENT under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTION.
