Installation (Left Rear - With 4-Wheel Steering)

CAUTION:
When lifting the vehicle do not allow the jack to touch the rear steering gear. If the jack touches the rear steering gear you may damage the gear or the rack and pinion boots. If the boots are damaged replace the rack and pinion boot.
- Install the NEW brake cable into the rear brake cable mounting bracket by pushing the cable into place until the locking tabs snap into place. See Figure.
- Install the park brake cable to the lever. See Figure.
- Install the rear park brake cable bracket bolt. See Figure. Tighten the rear park brake cable bracket bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the park brake cable and the bolt to the lower shock absorber mount. See Figure. Tighten the park brake cable bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the park brake cable taking care to correctly route the cable though the guides and the body mounts. See Figure.
- Install the park brake cable to the equalizer bar. See Figure.
- Remove the safety stands.
- Lower the vehicle.
