Brake System Noise

  1. Were you sent here from SYMPTOM LIST under GENERAL DIAGNOSIS under TROUBLESHOOTING? If so, go to next step. If not, see HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM  under DIAGNOSTIC STARTING POINT under TROUBLESHOOTING.
  2. Inspect the disc brake system for proper operation. See DISC BRAKE SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS  under TROUBLESHOOTING. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  6 . If not, go to next step.
  3. Inspect the brake assist system for proper operation. See BRAKE ASSIST SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS  under TROUBLESHOOTING. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  6 . If not, go to next step.
  4. Inspect the hydraulic brake system for proper operation. See HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS  under TROUBLESHOOTING. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to step  6 . If not, go to next step.
  5. Inspect the park brake system for proper operation. See PARK BRAKE SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS  under TROUBLESHOOTING. Did you find and correct a condition? If so, go to next step. If not, go to DIAGNOSTIC STARTING POINT  under TROUBLESHOOTING.
  6. Road test the vehicle in order to confirm proper operation. See BRAKE SYSTEM VEHICLE ROAD TEST  under SYSTEM TESTS. Is the condition still present? If so, go to step  2 . If not, system is okay.
