Rear Disc Brake Backing Plate: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the tire and the wheel assembly.
  3. Remove the rear disc brake rotor. See BRAKE ROTOR  .
  4. Remove the bolts securing the backing plate to the axle flange.
  5. Remove the backing plate.
