Hydraulic Brake Booster: Removal

  1. Apply the park brake.
  2. Disconnect the inlet hose, the steering gear hose, and the return hoses from the booster assembly.
  3. Remove the 2 master cylinder nuts. See Fig 1 .
  4. Remove the master cylinder, the wiring harness bracket, and the spacer from the booster assembly. See Fig 2 .
  5. Remove the stop light switch. See STOPLIGHT SWITCH  .
  6. Remove the pushrod from the brake pedal pin. See Figure .
  7. Remove the 4 booster nuts. See Fig 3 .
  8. Remove the booster assembly.
  9. Remove the gasket.
