Hydraulic Brake Booster: Installation

  1. Install the gasket. See Figure .
  2. Install the booster assembly.
  3. Install the 4 booster nuts. Tighten the nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Install the pushrod to the brake pedal pin. See Figure .
  5. Install the stoplight switch. See STOPLIGHT SWITCH  .
  6. Install the spacer, the wiring harness bracket, and the master cylinder to the booster assembly. See Figure .
  7. Install the 2 master cylinder nuts. See Figure . Tighten the nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  8. Connect the return hose, steering gear hose, and inlet hoses.
  9. Bleed the hydraulic booster system.
