Brake Pedal Assembly: Installation

  1. Install the brake pedal. See Figure .
  2. Install the spacer and the bushings. See Figure .
  3. Install the bolt and nut. Tighten the nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Connect the electrical connector to the remote control door lock receiver.
  5. Install the instrument panel center support bracket. See Figure .
  6. Install the bolt that retains the reinforcement to the instrument panel center support bracket. Tighten the bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  7. Install the bolts that retain the instrument panel center support bracket to the steering column bracket. Tighten the bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  8. Install the pushrod to the brake pedal pin. See Figure .
  9. Install the stop light switch to the brake pedal pin and clip the switch to the pushrod.
  10. Install the pushrod retainer to the brake pedal pin.
