Removal (Rear - Jounce)

- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Clean all dirt and foreign material from the brake hose and brake pipe fitting.
- Use a backup wrench on the hose fitting, disconnect the brake pipe fitting from the brake hose, then cap or plug the brake pipe fitting end.
- Disconnect the jounce hose from the brake pipe at the frame. See Fig 1 .
- Remove the jounce hose retaining clip.
- Remove the jounce hose from the bracket.
- Remove the left and the right brake pipes from the jounce hose junction block.
- Remove the junction block mounting bolt from the axle.
- Remove the jounce hose.
NOTE:
Install a rubber cap or plug to the exposed brake pipe fitting ends in order to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
