Installation (Rear - Jounce)

  1. Install the jounce hose. See Figure .
  2. Install the jounce hose mounting bolt to the axle. Tighten the bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install the left and the right brake pipes to the jounce hose junction block. Tighten the fitting to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
    4. NOTE: The hose must not be twisted. Make sure the hose is not in contact with any suspension component.
  4. With the weight of the vehicle on the suspension, install the jounce hose into the bracket.
  5. Install the jounce hose retaining clip.
  6. Connect the jounce hose to the brake pipe at the frame. Tighten the fitting to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  7. Ensure that the hose does not make contact with any part of the suspension. If the hose makes contact, remove the hose and correct the condition.
  8. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. See MANUAL BLEEDING  or PRESSURE BLEEDING  under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
