Rear Disc Brake Hose: Installation

- Remove the rubber plug from the brake caliper. Assemble the brake hose bolt and the NEW copper brake hose gaskets to the brake hose.
- Install the brake hose bolt to the brake caliper. Tighten the brake hose bolt at rear brake caliper to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Make sure the brake hose is not twisted or kinked after installation. Damage to the hose could result. Use the stripe on the brake hose in order to align the brake hose with the notch in the brake hose bracket. Install the brake hose to the brake hose bracket. Install the brake hose retainer clip to the brake hose. Remove the rubber cap or plug from the exposed brake pipe fitting end. Connect brake pipe fitting to the brake hose. Use a backup wrench on the hose fitting. Do not bend the bracket or pipe.
- Tighten the fitting to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Bleed the brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM . Install tire and wheel assembly. Tighten to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Lower the vehicle.
