Park Brake Lever Assembly: Installation

  1. Install the park brake switch and screw to the park brake lever. See Figure .
  2. Install the park brake front cable to the lever. Fasten the tab.
  3. Install the lower nut and the upper nut.
  4. Install the park brake lever to the floor of the vehicle. Tighten the nuts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Connect the park brake switch electrical connector.
  6. Adjust the park brake cable. See DRUM PARK BRAKE ADJUSTMENT  under PARK BRAKE in ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTIONS or DISC PARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT  under DISC BRAKES in ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTIONS.
  7. Install the rear floor console.
