Park Brake Hardware: Installation

- Apply Lubriplate(R) Lubricant, GM P/N 1050109 (Canadian P/N 5264008), or the equivalent, to the metal contact points on the following components:
- The backing plate.
- The park brake shoe lever.
- The adjuster strut.
- The adjuster.
- Assemble the adjuster. See Figure .
- Install the park brake hardware with the park brake shoes. See PARK BRAKE SHOES .
- Adjust the parking brake. See DISC PARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT under DISC BRAKES in ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTIONS. Install the rear brake rotor. See REAR BRAKE ROTOR . Install the tires and the wheels. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Lower the vehicle.
