Park Brake Cable Equalizer: Installation

  1. Connect the 3 park brake cables to the equalizer.
  2. If the vehicle has front-wheel drive, complete the following steps:
    • Install front floor center heat shield and the 2 nuts.
    • Install the front floor forward heat shield and the 3 nuts.
    • Install the catalytic converter.
    • Lower the vehicle.
  3. Adjust the park brake cable. See DRUM PARK BRAKE ADJUSTMENT  under PARK BRAKE in ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTIONS or DISC PARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT  under DISC BRAKES in ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTIONS. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Install rear floor console.
