Front Park Brake Cable: Removal

  1. Remove the rear floor console. See REAR FLOOR CONSOLE  .
  2. Remove the park brake lever. See PARK BRAKE LEVER ASSEMBLY  .
  3. On vehicles with front-wheel drive, complete the following steps:
    • Raise and support the vehicle.
    • Remove the catalytic converter.
    • Remove the 3 nuts and the front floor forward heat shield.
    • Remove the 2 nuts and the front floor center heat shield.
  4. On all vehicles, remove the front park brake cable from the equalizer.
