Master Cylinder: Installation

  1. Before installing the master cylinder, bench bleed the master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER BENCH BLEEDING  under BLEEDING, FILLING & FLUSHING BRAKE SYSTEM.
  2. Install the master cylinder assembly.
  3. Install the master cylinder mounting nuts. Tighten the master cylinder mounting nuts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Remove the rubber plugs from the brake lines. Connect the brake pipes. See Figure . Tighten the brake pipe fittings. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Connect the master cylinder fluid level sensor connector.
  6. Bleed the hydraulic brakes system. See MANUAL BLEEDING  under BLEEDING, FILLING & FLUSHING BRAKE SYSTEM.
