Pressure Balance Control System

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy XL, 2003 GMC Envoy, and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Regulates brake fluid pressure delivered to hydraulic brake wheel circuits, in order to control the distribution of braking force. Pressure balance control is achieved through Dynamic Rear Proportioning (DRP), which is a function of the ABS modulator. See appropriate ANTI-LOCK article for specific information on the operation of DRP.
